March Birchbox | Unboxing

Another month, another Birchbox. And what a jam-packed box of tricks it is! With three full size items, you know for a fact that you are getting one of the best subscription boxes that’s available in the UK because of its amazing value for money. This is only the second Birchbox I’ve received, however the anticipation is real when you know a box full of surprises is coming through your letterbox.

What I love about Birchbox is you don’t have to tie yourself down and sign your life away for a year, you can get a Birchbox as a one off if you like what you see or even sign up for 3, or even 6 months. This month’s theme is Word Up! taking us Birchboxers on the ultimate journey of discovery to uncover our new beauty must-haves.

So what’s inside my box?

First up we have a full size ModelCo® More Brows in Medium to Dark (RRP £13). It is described as a fibre-gel brow enhancer, and to look at it’s very similiar to Benefit’s Gimme Brow, which is considered a cult favourite in the beauty world because of it’s thickening capabilities. I’m currently using Loreal’s Brow Artist Plumper so am excited to try this out as I love trying new brow products to tame my unruly brows.

Next, we have the full size ARROW BOOST Color Enhancing Lip Balm (RRP £11). ARROW BOOST is a paraben free, vegan brand created especially by Birchbox and amazingly changes colour according to the pH of your skin making the color unique to you and one that I can’t wait for try. If you remember from last month, us Birchboxers sampled another of Birchbox’s own-brands (LOC), and I was very impressed with the lovely cream eyeshadow stick I was sent. I for one think it’s great that they’re making their own products as they’re obviously very knowledgable in what customers like, prefer and want and I can’t wait to see what else is up their sleeve!

Third we have a 25ml sample of Polaar’s Polar Night Cream (RRP £32 for full size) which claims to react to the light of the moon and work whilst you sleep, de-stress and regenerate the skin overnight whilst promoting cell regeneration and leaving skin looking well rested and glowing. I am yet to try this but I’ve read some raving reviews online so can’t wait to slap some on my face tonight!

Fourth in the box, I received a full size Lanolips Intense Golden Ointment (RRP £13.99). As some of you well know, along with winter comes crocodile skin and I suffer with it mostly on my legs. The formula is quite a thick consistency however it soaks into the skin instantly without leaving any greasy residue. So if you’re a sufferer of a dry skin, definitely check this out. Oh and one more thing, it smells heavenly.

Fifth we have an Amika Nourishing Mask Sample (RRP £19.99 for full size). This hair mask contains buckthorn berry and jojoba oil and it claims to soften strands and repair damage. I can definitely agree that my hair did feel softer after using it but I’m not too sure about repairing damage – I suppose only time will tell!

And last but certainly not least, is The Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray. It promises to ‘improve sleep quality and daytime wakefulness, naturally.’ Although I don’t generally have trouble with sleep myself, I’m intrigued to try this out to see if it actually works and makes a difference.

And that’s everything that was in this months box! When I first opened this month’s box admittedly I was a bit disappointed as I didn’t see any brands I recognised. However, it just shows you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover as I’ve discovered some fantastic new products this month and I can’t wait to see what other products the newly discovered brands offer!

Have you picked up this months Birchbox? Did you love it as much as I do?

Let me know in the comments below!

Apologies for the lack of posts this week, I was ill over the weekend and then I’ve been at work so haven’t had a chance to take any photos!

But I’m back, firing on all cylinders & I’m ready to get my blog on ✊

Ciao for now,
